Our Mission

The Nova Lab supports Deaf, Hard of Hearing, BIPOC, and other historically underrepresented entrepreneurs in launching and growing sustainable businesses.

We provide culturally responsive programs that combine mentorship, immersive learning, and practical business training, all in spaces built for full language access and a strong sense of community.

Our work addresses the systemic barriers in funding, education, and support that too often stand in the way of success.

Our Core Beliefs

Entrepreneurship is a Tool for Liberation

Entrepreneurship empowers our communities to create sustainable futures on their own terms. With education, resources, and culturally grounded support, we help founders thrive, not just survive.

Accessibility is a Right, Not a Feature

Accessibility isn’t a bonus, it’s the baseline. Every program is built with full language access, especially in ASL, so Deaf and underrepresented entrepreneurs are fully included and uplifted.

Cultural Relevance Creates Real Impact

One-size-fits-all solutions don’t work. Our programs are shaped by the lived experiences of Deaf, BIPOC, and historically excluded founders, ensuring every tool is affirming, practical, and impactful.

Systems Should Serve Us, Not the Other Way Around

We aren’t here to make our communities fit into broken systems. We’re here to challenge them, rebuild them, and create new pathways, led by us, for us.
